I had gum graft surgery when I was 14 and I was under local anesthesia for it. I couldn't really eat solid food for a couple of weeks. I also had 4 wisdom teeth pulled when I was 19. I heard that gum graft surgery isn't as bad as getting your wisdom teeth pulled, but I thought the gum graft was worse than when I got my wisdom teeth pulled.

I got 3 wisdom teeth removed. The first was awful, because my dentist was quite unexperience and the tooth was deep inside the enamel (?), but the second and the third were quite ok. I had a tone of aneasthezic in me, so I didn't feel anything. I also took a benzo for anxiety. When the numbness wears off though, that's when it gets painful and uncomfortable. The worst part was the stitches- I had them for about a week and I couldn't eat or talk properly because of them.

My mom got implants and it was ok for here. I have a coworker who has gum issues and he needed some implants to inside the jaws... he suffered quite a lot.
