locked threads

What's up with that?

A certain poster is making too many threads about a single subject--such as "fear of the dentist," when one thread would be enough.

If a person makes too many threads about a single subject, they can clog up the whole forum.

This is why the moderator locks those threads.

Would make more sense to delete them because locking only prevents posting. The threads are still there therefore clogging the forum.

Maybe the OP of the dentist threads has a special interest with dentists.

He fears the dentist.

there's quite a few bedroom threads in there too.

he's not making as many duplicates anymore i think, but it's still a lot to be making.
