Do you have concern of teenaage kids cooking at home, leave the stove on and may cause house fire? My kid is on her pre-teen age, everytime I see her cooking (light cooking) I worry if I am not at home, and she turns on stove and forget.....

Perhaps if you train her to cook while you are there, and let her do most of the cooking, she will not forget to turn off the stove. When I was a teenager, I never forgot to turn off the stove when I cooked with others or by myself. It seemed most natural to turn it off when I was done using it.

Do you have a timer she can use?

When I'm cooking, my rule is that I always set the timer (I have a timer app on my phone) and I never go out of earshot of the kitchen while cooking. That way, I won't burn anything.

Also, what happens if she's cooking with you present (but not involved) and you don't remind her?

Lastly, make sure your fire alarm is fully operational. Even if she does forget, the fire alarm will go off and she'll either remember the stove is on or at the very least be very motivated to go outside to escape the noise.
