Is this the same friend who laughed when you explained what AS is? If so, you might wanna distance yourself a little.

Don't worry. One of my friend used to call me Hello, bot! when she met me. It was because of repetitive phrases and machine-like way of thinking. It's probably common among Aspies :)

I would not react well to this...

I'm sorry that your friend had to be so ignorant towards you. It looks like the two of you need a short break from each other. Young people can be very ignorant towards people who are different, sometimes. Maybe he'll learn one day and apologize to you, though it seems doubtful right now.

Since I pretend to be a Giant Robot part of the time (in a game), I would have taken this as a compliment. :P

How immature. I'm glad you ignored him!

My diagnoses - social anxiety disorder and obsessive-compulsive disorder.

I’m no longer involved with the ASD world.

An MSN buddy of mine just said he feels like he's talking to a computer-
he didn't, though, mock me aloud in front of a mutual friend.

That's...not a friend, in my opinion.

You must have a looser definition of "friend" than I do.
