I discussion started in the "weird ear thingy's" thread got me wondering what noises you find particularly irritaing?

PS does anyone else cringe when they see the Diabetis advertisemant with the girl giving herself a shot? if there is one thing worse than annoying sounds it's needles :(

I chose very high pitched noises/beeping, but there are also other noises I don't like. One is the sound of a lawn mower outside. Another is the sound of hammering. I also hate noises that I find too loud just like anyone else. I don't like the sound of any of the options, but the one I chose is the worst to me.

One noise I forgot to add is the sound of a table saw cutting through wood. My dad does a alot of carpentry work and I can't stand the noise of his table saw, it's the worse noise EVER.

Probably the smoke alarm.

The vacuum and the beeping really don't annoy me. Car door alarms I normally disabled on most of the cars I've ever owned...the chimes don't bother me, just the ones that buzz..

Cardboard against cardboard. Folding the flaps of a cardboard box inward should be punishable by death.

Also, shoes shuffling across a concrete floor.

Gee, how about ALL OF THE ABOVE! And some frequencies that are WITHIN the range of frequencies I find ok, are PAINFUL!

deep bassy sounds, like the thump thump thump of dance music played by neighbours, or the bassy rumbling of hotted up cars.

Other: The all encompassing city noise, i.e., cars and trucks idling/driving, people talking and yelling; instant migraine.

(Plus the migraine inducing smells of exhaust and images of fleeting humans which all equate to a sensory overload.)
