That would be ultra variable. Super duper ultra random variable.

Some people on the spectrum have no impact on their intellect at all. And it bears out best of course for those that can properly read through standardized tests. IQ requires ability to answer a standard question in standard form and really only measure you potential for retaining information and logical conclusion.

For a non verbal like my son a lot of assumptions can be made. Some tests are not sure he reads. But he read instructions on something I didn't feel like fooling with and assembled correctly twice this past week (a PC set up for my mom and a toy he just received for birthday).

He did poorly on things on a test recent but...so would I. I will not call a lavender crayon purple. I will not call a tan animal brown. We use alternate words for things since he has a speech inpediment as do I. She did notice he tried to "cheat" and read the crayon color, but the test made no allowance. It was lunchtime after 2 hour drive and he was getting balky and irritable by time of last 30 questions. Another was picture that answer was "drying" But Robert said "helping" and later refused to go further or discuss the towel. Originally the question was what are they doing? he said washing dishes . Bzzt! *level 1 irritation reached* what is "the boy" holding? dish Bzzzt! *irritation level 2-escalation now compounding* from that moment on he was unwilling... one last try. He hates getting things "wrong". He will trash a drawing he smears ink or misses a shape on. So his biggest hot button for meltdowns.... is language

My opinions here:

Someone like Chris Chan. Never learn from their mistakes so they keep on repeating them over and over.

Not knowing right from wrong and not being able to understand

Not understanding how they are hurting someone with their abuse even if their mom is on the ground crying and in the hospital and they still can't grasp you have given them a head injury after you have assaulted them

These things people do with autism makes me think they have a low IQ. But yet if they are intelligent I would have a hard time believing how can they not know these things so they must be doing it on purpose because they don't care and they knew what they were doing.

Severe challenging behavior and most likely non-verbal.
