The two most common forms of NT communication are pronouns and assumptions, both of which are extremely vague. They tend to address people as "you," "he," or "she," much more often than using their actual names. They also assume that others they address have the same assumptions as they do and can read their minds somehow rather than simply saying what they actually want or feel. I think it's a combination of "efficiency" aka laziness and "trying not to hurt people" aka passive aggressive skills that they use to constantly out-manipulate each other. Part of this is why they are the dominant neurotype anyway as they use manipulation to be successful, as it's not surprising how many higher up people in companies, Hollywood, etc are crooked people who use others to get their way. Being direct but no too direct is quite successful from an competitive/evolutionary standpoint. If we want to be more civilized and understanding people, I think both NT and Autistic people would benefit from direct communication, but in a materialistic culture, the love of money often outshines the love for people. This "direct but not too direct" social communication type is what makes life for a lot of Autistic people a living hell because we can't understand the subtleties of the "not too direct part," hence why we are often victims of abuse/manipulation. I know a lot of NTs wish people could be more clear too, but also are concerned about their own understanding in fitting into social structures.

What do you people of WP think of this idea? NT and/or ND input is highly appreciated.
