This concept can fit any majority group at one time or another. For example, as a blind person, I feel that many people see the "blind" first, and then the person. They can't imagine how I do things that they need their vision to do. Then, some of them assume I probably can't do those things and might not even give me a chance to prove them wrong. They may not even be aware of their own assumptions.
