I rap my arm round my head, or under. Sometimes my arm ends up under my body when I'm sleeping. When I wake up I loose all the circulation in it and I can't move it except with my other hand. I have to straighten it and rug it until the blood gets back in. Strangely I sleep much better like this.

I do that. Whenever I try to move it afterward it just falls back down really strangely lol

yep really floppy. It happens in my leg also. That hurts more to get the blood back.

I used to hold up my arm a lot when I was younger, and try to get it to balance in one position without using muscles to hold it up. I also used to cut off the circulation to my arm a lot while I slept, but thankfully that's improved now that I have a better mattress. I also used to cut off the circulation to one leg a lot (I always sleep on the same side), and had to get up in the middle of the night to walk it off (one time it was so numb that I couldn't move that leg at all, and just fell when I tried to stand ).

I always place an arm over my forehead when I sleep.... I don’t really think this is related to autism though.
I mean like reaching up vertically, when you're lying horizontally. I just remembered I sued to do that as a kid and people commented on it. It probably has nothing to do with AS though, but I just thought I'd see if anyone did anything similar.

My parents said when I was a tot I used to sleep with my bum up in the air. Now I can only sleep on my back. I find it really hard to sleep on my side. I was going to do a thread about which side people sleep on.

I sleep with one arm in the air. If I can't sleep that way I usually stick a leg or knee in the air. My wife hates it because I steal the covers when I lift my leg.

I have to hold something in my arms or hands to sleep, I can sleep with one leg bent and the other crossed over it if i am in a deep sleep, if that makes sence.

I wrap my arm around my head as well sometimes, so that I can pull on the ear on the opposite side of my head.
