I have a problem. You see I can't be popular for obvious reasons. What am I supposed to do?

Do you want to be popular with people who share your interests, or just popular in general?

And I assume you mean kids your own age, such as at your school, right?

No, since it is a trend its going to dissipate, and also no I don't mean just kids my Age, I mean everyone. I said I don't want to be popular, the reason is that my lack of social skills will interfere. Also, abandoning my Special interest isn't a option..

Like Soc I am a little confused, so let's take it from the top.

Its not that you are yearning to be popular.

Its that you are afraid of accidently becoming popular. Is that it?

You dont have the social skills to maintain popularity? Kinda like if I became a top gun at my job I would have the new pressure of keeping up my productivity to keep at that pay grade (pressure that I dont have now at my lower "asset level"). I still strive to become a Top Gun, but that downside IS in the back of my mind.

And the thing that might cause this calamity (of you accidently becoming popular) is you getting involved with the new game of Pokemon Go. Is THAT it?

I don't really understand the question. Correct your grammar so the sentences are understandable.

I like Pokemon go. I've been able to talk to 2 strangers purely because of the game so it's helped me a little. Maybe you can use the game to talk?

I am going to buy a hoodie with my team logo. Even if the trend fades in a few months ofr so I could still wear it because it would look like just a logo unless your a Pokemon go fan.

Not really sure what you're getting at. Are you meaning that you think Pokemon go might mean people talk to you or try and be friends?

But on the meeting people while playing. I've walked past a few people playing but I've not made eye contact, let alone said anything.

What I'm saying is that Even If I do make said friends only a small portion will still like pokemon after said trend is over.

I'm curious, since I'm old as dirt and don't have a clue what Pokeman Go does. Is it a solitary game (like Tetris) or something you need others to play along with (like a board game)?

So long as you enjoy doing it then that's the main thing, you shouldn't need to worry about how popular it could make you.

Like I don't work on cars to become popular or meet new people, I do it because I enjoy it.

If Pokemon Go is predominantly a single player game, I am somewhat confused as to what your problems are.

Perhaps I am being obtuse but your post strikes me as rather vague.

Are you fearful that once the interest in the titular game invariably dwindles that you will no longer have anyone to talk to about it?

Or do you see this as an excellent time to make friends but are worried that you will miss the opportunity as the game's popularity diminishes?
