No because Autism is who I am and what makes me, myself. Regardless of the challenges I have I rather be myself than anyone else. Now I came into some money things would be better but that wouldn't change what makes me work.

I don't know. I like being different and strange, but at the same time, I don't like being shy and afraid of things. If I could just turn off those parts and leave the rest that would be good.

being a normal functioning person that is happy and has friends and relationships, doesn't sound so bad

greetings all,

i don't think i would, i believe that whatever created this, us... knew... i would like an understanding as to how to deal with it! i believe that we are all perfect and that modern science and society has not caught up! so for now, i will embrace this "human" condition that society has labeled us as...

with peace,

JanusOne :D

I would not change because I would lose all my knowledge. I am also glad I am not rich and had a hard life because I would not have the character I have.

Yes, yes, hell yes! It is nothing but a burden. It keeps me imprisoned in my own mind, isolated from what I care about, prevents progress towards my goals and causes constant anxiety. For all this trouble, I get nothing back. Getting rid of it wouldn't make everything easy, but it would remove a lot of the barriers in my life.

I'd take even a chance at a cure without a second thought.

You'd still have all of that.

No, because I'd rather celebrate my autism than cure it. I'd rather be myself than change to suit the haters in my life.

I don't know. That's a hard question to answer. For the most part, most of the time, I don't think I would. It causes me problems and makes my life harder, and I get the distinct impression that I would be much more successful financially without it, but it is also a large part of who I am and what makes me unique.

NO

Even as a neurotypical that type of fundemental change would be too much.

That much of a fundamental change is likely to have negative unintended consequences.

I am not going to enable changing fundemental parts of what people are born with. I would be publicly shamed and humiliated if I advocated curing left handness because it would make things easier if everybody was right handed, advocated curing blackness because bieng black increases the odds you will poor and be a victim of violence, just like bieng autistic does.

I hate my AS but if I could I'd rather cure my mum from cancer than cure myself from AS.

I would make so everyone had at least one way of expressing themselves so they felt part of the world and felt they could make some decisions. While I'm here doing magic, I would also make other people have patience to try to understand.

That is the closest I'd do for a cure.

I used to think no because i thought "its part of me" but then i realized how much in my life i struggle to stay a float and how much energy it costs me to just do simple things like going into a store.

I dropped out of high school
Cant work in customer service
Been banned from households
Been arrested
Attempted suicide

Not because of my autism, but because of lack of support and response.

As much as im comfortable with myself, i have put a strain on my already struggling family. I have had such a difficult time adjusting to the real world and always been falling behind.

I think it would be best to cure my autism for the sake of myself and everyone around me.
