Just a poll to satisfy my curiosity, I've read that lefties are more common in the autistic spectrum.
I'm a very ambidextrous lefty.

Slightly ambidextrous righty, in as much as I am slightly less cack handed that way round.

My left hand would probably be more useful if I chopped it off and used it as a doorstop.

 8O

I've never heard it said that way before.

My father was left handed (some AS traits), my mother, younger sister, brother and I am right handed (mostly NT). My older sister is purely ambidextrous (NT). Both sons (one PDD-NOS one ADHD, both learning disabled) are both right handed.

My ex- (ADHD, GAD) and his sister (NT) are both lefties while their parents were both righties.

I'm sure that's more than you wanted to know.

I can be slightly lefthanded. I am strongly
righthanded. My grandmother said she
doesn't remember me being lefthanded.
My step-grandfather(not related) said he
vaguely remembers my great-grandmother
trying to make me right handed, and
for the record he is left handed.

He described the difficulties in speed at
his bakery job and how he had to struggle
at 45 years in the bakery union.

Hmmmmm? Interesting?

I am a slightly ambidextrous righty. I can usually only do things with my right hand, but my left hand is occasionally the dominant one for certain things.

I primarily use my right hand but am able for some tasks to use my left hand as well. My NT 'hubby' is more strongly right-ambidextrous. My youngest NT son, I'm not so sure but my HFA older son is leaning more towards left-handed but also uses his right for many things too.

I click and write rightie but for most other things I'm leftie. Seems there's a connection to weak thyroid function, which I have. Dig this link.

Strongly right handed.

When I was little my left hand writing would look like a baby or a 2 year old wrote it.

I can write a bit better with my left hand now but it's still wonky and scribbly.

I have weird hands. I'm self-taught ambidextrous, primarily left handed. I can also write upside down fairly well. With both hands. I learned this all during the previous school year. Writing upside down can come in handy, as can reading upside down.

Wow, I can write with both hands, though my hand writing has always been messy with either hand, but upside down, that's amazing! 8O I'm impressed.

I have a hook on one hand and a claw on the other, so I use my feet.

I am very right-handed, as was my (very AS) father. My mother, however, is a pure lefty. But she says many South Paws have an easier time and often have more dexterity with their right hands than do Righties with their left.

Anyone notice this?

Ambidextrous means being able to use both hands equally well (especially in the area of writing). :)
