My husband has this really loud fan he's had for years... it seems to have to blow on him 24/7 when we are at home, it even is on a wheely chair so he can easily move it from room to room. The fan drives me up the wall, we sleep with the fan on, have to turn the tv up loud, etc... even in the winter.

Big problem is I think the fans noise is contributing to my meltdowns... and a marital issue, he insists I be in the same room as him most of the time... what am I suppose to do, wear earplugs all the time? Tell him either the fan goes or me? He refuses to get a new fan. He says his fan helps eith his breathing.

You need to tell his ass to get a quieter fan then. That's just not right. Most guys don't realize how much damage being stubborn on stupid s**t like that can be on a marriage... years of that cost me mine to a degree...

It's not normal for a person to be hot constantly. Either you keep your house too warm or you husband might have some type of medical condition like hyperthyroidism.

I'd raise it as a problem BUT give solutions you can live with, then ask him to choose. e.g. get another (quieter) fan, let you set up a "you only room" where you can escape the fan, get a cool pack etc. Then have a consequence you are ready to follow through with if no choice is made. Giving choices allows a feeling of power so you're not just nagging on him to bend to your will.
