Here's a ghostly winter sun:

This is what I'm in the mood to share today.
I took the photo years ago, in January of 2009.

It looks like it's about to snow.

Reminds me of a Thomas Hardy poem.

You're right, there are a few snowflakes in the air.
And you understand the atmosphere, too ... pardon the pun! ... as far as the moodiness goes.

I wonder how others will describe how they see the sun?

If you're feeling down, then I hope it's bittersweet, and leads to new art.

I googled one of my usernames and the word "sun", and this was the first search result that came up.
That's all.
That said, I like it better now than when I first took it, in this original black and white version.
Thanks, kraftie!

I absolutely hate sunlight, and the sun makes me feel sick. Also, when there's too much light I can barely see. I'm very sensitive to light.

That photo is just beautiful. Love it.

I like the sun as long as it's not too hot outside. It makes the outside world look colourful and cheerful.

I don't like being dazzled by the sun, especially when I'm driving.

The weather I dislike most is when it's very windy. I fall over when it's windy.

VERY hot and VERY bright. It can become oppressive. Literally -- no one's willing to walk on a high noon except for myself just because I can handle it. But just because I can always handle it, that doesn't mean I always like it that way.

Granted. I live somewhere near the equator.

I prefer sunset/sunrise light and heat more than any weather at any time. Not too hot, not too bright and it's likely going to give a cool wind. It's comforting than overwhelming.
But it doesn't lasts... :(

i have unsuccessfully tried to get a restraining order out on the sun because it stalks me wherever i go .
the other day, i wanted to get out of the sun's rays so i drove away from it but it followed me, and soon i floored it to lose the sun, but it kept up with me.

i went as fast as i could go for ages and when i stopped and got out, there it was.....in the same position it was before.

it stalks me and i have tried to shoot it with a doubled barrel rifle and i have gone to the police about it, but it always bloody follows me.

I did type out a long post about restraining order distances and the changing distance of the sun from the earth in an effort at humour but it wasn't that funny so I deleted it.

The sun is a bright round at the sky. It change colors during the day (sunrise, sunset) and appears bigger the lower it is. It can hide behind clouds, sometimes you wont see it at all, sometimes it will be blurry and other times you won't see the sun but you will see streaks of light coming from behind a cloud. At times you will also see halo or second sun on the sky and sun is also responsible for rainbows.
Sunrise and sunsets sometimes make the world take awesome colors, as if everything was on fire.

The sunlight causes warm feeling. It can be uncomfortable, especially during the noon summer hours but is also very pleasant when you need to warm up(I am sensitive to cold temperatures). I like the sun. It sometimes makes me close my eyes if it shines right at my face or is reflected by something in front of me but overall I see better during sunny days than cloudy days (I have slight myopia and for some reason cloudy weather makes it worse). I also tend to sleep more during cloudy days - I just can't get up.

Too bright. Too hot. But I do like sunshine through the leaves in the forest. It's overcast a lot where I live and I like it that way.
