I seem to have that problem. How do you moderate your voice personally?

I do that. I speak quieter when my mom or someone else reminds me

I do talk loud sometimes. I lower it when I am told I am shouting or told to speak quieter.

I've been guilty of that a few times in the past. Considering my intolerance of loud-mouthed people, I feel ashamed of myself when I think of it. These days I seem to have learned to just stay soft-voiced. It's tricky because by nature I'll either talk very quietly or (when I'm feeling enthusiastic) too loudly, it's very hard for me to strike a balance - same as with the choice between talking too long or barely talking at all. I'm prone to forget myself, it's hard work keeping half my mind on how I'm coming over and the other half on voicing my thoughts.

One of my friends has this problem. I would just try to remind him that it was late / people were sleeping / that he was being really loud.

I do not have this problem. I speak in a low register (which doesn't sound as loud) and I make a point of waiting for other people to stop talking before I start so I don't find myself raising my voice to speak over someone.

I also talk too loudly. I'm constantly trying to lower my voice when I'm greeting customers. Most customers like that "energy", but there are some customers who are old-fashioned and are bothered by it.

Yep, I often talk too loud and people often have to remind me to talk quieter. I used to have a problem with talking too quietly but I don't anymore.

Hello. I tend to talk loudly when there are a lot of people around. I also can't hear people that good when they talk really quietly. My parents tell me to "keep it down" and "lower my voice", but I don't feel like I'm yelling.

(Below is kinda off topic, so you can move on if you like)

I feel I have either a hearing problem or auditory processing disorder, which when I see an audiologist and figure out if this is a problem or if it's just related to ASD. I have never went to an audiologist or anything related to hearing, and when I asked her this year, she said that she doesn't want me to having hearing aids, so even my mom has a concern.

I do sometimes, usually when I'm excited.

Like others have said, I usually lower my voice when I'm told it's too loud and I also have problems hearing people when they talk too quietly.

I also apparently laugh too loud. My dad doesn't really mind this, but others do. This is harder to moderate.

I've always been told that I talk too loudly.
