Can you handle the detergent isle of a grocery store?

Does anyone else find this the most hated isle of a supermarket? The smells bother me so much. Cause headaches, cause my skin to itch. The smell is so just so overwhelming.

I think I subconsciously avoid it unless I'm out of detergent and absolutely must buy some.

Depends which country I'm in. Where I live, the detergent smells are pretty mild. Some other places I've been, the excessive use of fragrance makes me want to run for the hills.

Seeing as how I spent 7 years working a grocery store I was never bothered by the detergent isle. What was bothersome to me was the smell of the garbage compacter. Also balsamic vinaigrette burned my nose when someone broke a bottle on the floor and I had to clean it up.

I like the smell of detergent so it doesn't bother me.

I avoid it as much as possible. I'm kinda the stereotype of the autistic kid who freaks out when their mother changes brands of detergent. I'm that sensitive to fragrance.

I hate it too

While I can handle various strong smells, sometimes I do like it.
However, if I get unlucky, the consequence will be me ending up with sneezing fits that might last for hours.

Detergent aisles smell? I never noticed.

I don't like the bread aisle because every time I go there it's always full of people for some reason.

Yeah, it's always been problematic for me as well.

Grocery stores shrink wrap everything that isn't nailed down (ever see the shrink-wrapped individual potatoes?!?), but they can't seem to manage wrapping bottles and boxes of detergent chemicals? I despise the detergent aisle and race through it. Luckily, I know exactly what I want to buy there.

On a similar topic, what's up with those "import" stores with the shipping-container formaldehyde in the air? I get an instant headache every time.

I would much rather walk through that aisle than the coffee aisle.
