I was wondering why is it hard for me to try and live a semi ''NT'' lifestyle? I only work at Burger King doing cooking and cleaning but between the crowds and everything being so fast I have been getting bad panic attacks and nervous stomach,I am always stressed with my mother who has MS and my dog who is older and I am watching his health as well as my relationships with female friends are always a mess.I just don't understand why at only 30 I have all these emotional and physical issues and can't really be ''free''

Why do you expect you should be "free"? As if that is somehow the default.

For a start you seem to care a great deal about the things around you; that is not conducive to being "free".

Fair enough, apart from severe chronic depression I wouldn't say I have many other health issues.

But tbh I think my point still stands, I get thoroughly bored of all the moaning my colleagues do about their health issues so I would say it's still the default.

Aspires were born to complain as sure as the sparks fly upward.

Probably because we have Aspergers.

Working in a fast food restaurant is not conductive to people with problems multitasking and with sensory sensitivities common in Aspies. Another words overstimulation.

Go to a doctor about your anxiety. The pills might help you deal with all this better.

Welcome to WP. Unfortunately, several of my friends and I can all relate to dealing with family health issues. They seem to get worse as you get older, and they certainly make me feel less free. Any advice I've ever seen for caregivers or family members says that you have to make time for yourself, just to be yourself, so that you will have the energy and health to help the other person.

What would you change if you could? Also, is there any way we might be able to help you?

I live a very free life when I'm not working or visiting my parents. It's more of a 40s free of the Warrior Spirit than the 60s free of the Hippie Spirit, but I do live a free life.

What exactly do you mean when you say "free"??? "Free" has many meanings.

To me, being free means free to do what I want. And if something's overloading me, then I don't want it, so I should be free to avoid it.

I don't see AS as affecting my freedom - it affects what I want more than whether I can get what I want. But other people's reactions and expectations definitely infringe on my freedom.

in reference to someone elses post so you are saying that even working at burger king can be the cause of making me physically sick with constant panic attacks?
