In my case they are mild in my opinion.

I don't like some textures of clothes, I don't like hairdressing. Cut hair can be have unpleasant for me.

I have relatively narrow menu. I do not like tomato soup with small "elements" in it other than pasta (like small pieces of meat) - I have it since childhood. I tend to eat much dairy.

I had problems with medical examination requiring looking at bright light and a person who did it said that she never met such a case of a person who had such a problems with that examination).

I do not like sudden, loud sounds - they scared me. I tend to have problems with drawing blood because of being needles - I had quite serious anxiety during it even last spring.

I had problems with bearing the smell of fried mushrooms, but now it rather is rather not problematic for me.

During getting a shower the temperature is VERY important for me - too cold or too hot water can easily be just "painful".

For the most part, very mild.

I am undersensitive to some things and over to others, but most don't have a big impact.

I struggle with certain rough materials, like rucksack material and organza types, but they're easy enough to avoid. I also can't touch stones/pebbles or chalk, but again I can avoid these. My daughter can't own a chalkboard, but I don't think she's missing out hugely because of that.

Food and drink wise, I struggle with meats unless they're processed or slow cooked. That limits my diet a bit. The worst bit for me is that I can't drink water on its own. That upsets me a lot because I feel like I could do so much better for my health if I could just drink water, and I hate that I'm telling my daughter that she can't have other drinks because they're unhealthy, and then I have to sit there with them.

Other than that, I have to wear long socks pulled up as high as they'll go because I need the pressure. I also can't sleep without a heavy duvet, which can be very hard to deal with on a hot summer night.

I have issues with lights but they can be corrected with sunglasses, and they're minor so it's not like I need to wear my sunglasses all the time.

But I'm lucky that I like and need loud sounds as much as possible, so I don't have issues with being in loud public places and I'm grateful for that. I think most of my issues can be dealt with relatively easily, but don't know how people can live in a world that always sounds too loud for them. That would destroy me.

For me, my sensory issues affect me a lot, including what I can eat and what I can wear. I have a short list of foods I can eat because of textures and I can only wear really soft clothes. I also am very sensitive to touch. I have trouble with some scents (mostly bad ones) but I'm okay with things like candles and lotions. Noises are an issue for me, I hate loud noises. I'm very sensitive to light and wear sunglasses most of the time if I'm not home. Camera flashes are bad for me. I try my best to cope, however.

My sound and taste sensitivities are pretty severe. There are extremely few foods I can eat, and my ears are very sensitive. There was a fire drill in my dorm yesterday, and it was excruciatingly painful. I didn't cover my ears because I didn't want to be made fun of.

I don't like sudden loud noises, but looking 'cool' in front of people is important to me so I have to pretend not to be worried, unless someone else expresses uneasiness, then I can say "yeah me too" and get away with being bothered about the loud noise (but not TOO bothered).

But what causes the most problems for me in life is being too squeemish when it comes to pain. So any tests for cancer, like smear tests, I am kinda scared of. I jumped away the last time I had a smear test. Being sedated is a good idea, but I'm scared I might fart or something whilst being under sedation.

I'm hypersensitive to humiliation.

I dunno, I'll go with moderate since my functioning is not exactly good and it probably plays a part. I feel like it's been more of an issue lately but maybe living on the surface of the sun certainly doesn't help. Sensitive hearing, sensitive eyes(usually wear sunglasses when I'm out), but I would say I am probably less prone to pain. Taste or smell I don't know how to compare, I would say my smell might not be as good either.

I'd say mine are mild. Touch is my most sensitive.

I do not like certain clothes, tags, light touch or certain medical procedures, like the blood pressure machine. My Granddad thinks that I'm making that sensory problem up.

I have a strong sense of smell and I'm more bothered by bathroom odors than most NTs are as well as the smell of leather and bacon cooking.

I have some problems with textures of food. I don't like things that are too mushy or crisp. I also don't like pasta with tomato sauce or meat sauce, but like other sauces. I always don't like too many tastes in one dish, like a pasta with multiple types of vegetables. If it's a pasta with one or two vegetables, I don't mind, but I don't like more than that.

I also really don't like pasta with tomato sauce for some reason, but like cream and pesto and don't mind rose.

I cut the tags and labels off all clothing before I wear it. I wear socks inside out to avoid the seams coming in contact with me. I get off buses if someone is wearing a noticeable perfume or has recently been smoking cigarettes or weed. I dislike the smell of cooking. I wear headphone most of my waking hours, at home, playing music in an attempt to blockout extraneous noises. I have one low energy lamp running at night because I hate bright lights. Sensory problems dictate a lot of aspects of my life.

i didn't realise that I really had too much sensory problems aside from not liking loud noises but when in my assessment last week my wife had written back to answer some questions. in there the assessor lady said that my wife had written back to say how much of the day I spend picking at my shirts and how uncomfortable I look in clothes. all very true

also had lots of food issues growing up but well, I am an adult now so I just eat what the f I want 8)

I put down "moderate", but it can vary a lot.
I'm quite sensitive to it being too warm.
Sounds can be troublesome. But, curiously, often not mechanical sounds. I often can hear people talking several metres away as clearly as if they were next to me.
Certain wavelengths of light can be painful.
Smells can be an issue.

Moderate.

Growing up I was a really picky eater. I couldn't stand the texture of so many kinds of foods. Socks would bother the hell out of me. I would have to wear socks where the seams would be moved away from the toes. It would often take me putting on and off my shoes mulitple times before I could feel comfortable and get out the door. I have removed every clothing tag from every shirt I've ever owned. I cannot tolerate the feel of wool (scratchy) or fleece (disgusting) against my skin.

I have trouble touching dirty objects like dirty dishes that I can't stand the texture of. I sleep with 8 layers of blankets (mostly for the weight, partly for temperature regulation problems) even in the summer time. I have severe anxiety around getting poked with needles.

I have difficulty dealing with strong smells like coffee or cigarette smoke or perfumes. I don't like loud noises, and avoid ever going to a bar, club, concert because of this.

I have difficulty with my sense of temperature. I am really picky in this respect and struggle to feel comfortable.

I am both tactile defensive and seeking to the extremes. Aside from physical difficulties chewing and swallowing food, some textures of food will literally make me sick to the stomach, no matter how good it smells or tastes. No tags on clothes, no breeze touching my skin, so long sleeves year round. Gets disoriented easily, cannot be in sun for more than 30 minutes without feeling ill and getting flashes in my eyes. Cannot handle places with a lot of certain colors (especially gold with red) I start to freak out major.

I've chosen mildly, because as I see it, when compared to others they balance out: I'm severely sensitive to sounds (exacerbated by a run of terrible neighbours, all gone for now), light bothers me very much, and I can't wear a watch, don't wear long sleeves and so on - meanwhile, I've never had any food issues and was never a picky eater.

That's difficult for me to answer.

I do know that my concentration is very poor but I cannot ascertain if this can be ascribed to a sensory problem or not.

Usually fairly mild, leaning toward moderate at times. Certain sounds like ripping packing tape off the roll, barking dogs or clanking ceramic plates against each other mean instant pain and headache. On the milder end, other sounds like machinery whine or hum are merely annoying and draining. Perfumes, car-fumes etc. can trigger headaches at times too.

Touch becomes super irritating if I have dry hands (is this unusual?). Unexpectedly receiving touch is not pleasant either. Not to sound like a complainer... :(

Everything else is fine... really. :)
