Didn't you start a thread recently where you claimed to be ugly?
It ended up getting you lots of compliments ... :)

One comment:
Instead of thinking so much about you ...
what you look like,
what kind of personality you have,
what others think of you ...

How about thinking of other people
and maybe saying something nice about them once in awhile?

Is what true? You think you have a bad personality? You said you think so, so I guess you do. Think so, that is. It's true that you think you have a bad personality.

For years, I wondered why nobody would ever even look at me in a friendly way. Then I saw a picture of myself around other people. My face had this mad "get the hell away from me" look on it. That's the look it always gets around people. I don't really want people around me. My body knows better than me, and conveys the message quite effectively so I get left alone.

Berabara, you may or may not have a bad personality. I doubt you do have a bad one. I think people's reactions make it seem that you aren't a good person. You know within yourself whether you are or not. People who judge you based on your appearance know nothing and anyone who turns you away based purely on perceived notions of your personality isn't worth your time.

Do you believe 'they' think you have a bad personality or is what you believe to be true about yourself? Or do you think people dislike you because of your apparent bad personality?

I cannot speak for anyone else, but I find it difficult to become interested in others. However, I do not believe this makes me 'bad'; it's just how my brain operates.

Even if that is true what is the big deal? I find most all people are just not the type person I would want to talk with anyway. I have learned to keep my thoughts and opinions to myself and to say hello back and then most people just act like I do not exist.

Berabara, have you tried learning how to read lips? It will probably take a long time to master but you may become very good at it and this will help to understand what people are saying.

Don't get discouraged in large crowds. Just remember what your goal is and focus on that, e.g. doing the shopping or going for a walk, etc. Try not to focus on the people around you and focus on your goals for the day.

If you're completely deaf, do you sign? I'm incredibly interested in this, but at the moment can't find a class near me.
