How does the ADOS scoring system work?

Hello. So a few months ago, I did the ADOS and was found to meet the cut-off, plus had a bunch of other features and diagnosed with ASD - level 1. But I really don't understand how the ADOS scoring system works. I looked it up online, and originally, I just found people saying it was 7-12 points for ASD and 12+ points of "classic" autism, and this confused me since they removed these diagnoses. But then I see that if you are above 10 points, then you meet the cut-off criteria for ASD. But then I've also read that there are sub-scores for the ADOS about social interaction and communication, which are both used for the score, and then others, like imagination and stereotypic movements or something like that. Does anyone have information about the scoring system? I am just interested because of my special interest (mental illness/neurodevelopmental disorders). Thanks.
