I'm gluten and dairy free, I can't have dyes or bananas, and I HATE it! There are many restaurants I can't go to because of it. It was awful in elementary school when I couldn't have class treats. I bring a lunch to school. It is AMAZING when there is something at any restaurant that I can have.

I don't have any food allergies (sorry you do :( ) but I know the feeling with restaurants. I have a super long list of things I can't/won't eat for either health, ASD or eating disorder reasons. When I'm forced to go out for a meal the menu makes me want to cry; so many things I want to be able to have, and yet nothing I actually can. I know about the class treats thing too, my parents didn't let us have sweets as kids so I just had to wistfully watch everybody else enjoying theirs :( .

Has a gluten and dairy diet helped you at all?

I have eliminated gluten from my diet before, but the results were disappointing. Gluten was rather difficult for me to avoid as it's seemingly in everything.

Ever since I stopped eating a lot of junk food, I have gotten a lot better. Milk and lots of sugar give me lots of weird side effects now so I must've become more sensitized to it.

There were no noticeable changes when I was on a gluten etc free diet.
