I am very content with my life, but there are times when I am very unhappy.

The only things that have really depressed me since I was a teenager are money and the inability to be successful in a career. The two of those go together I suppose. Yeah I've dealt with various things that upset me for a while. But that is the normal human experience and I get over them. As a teen I think my hormones played with my head a lot but as an adult I feel better. When I have a job I like and feel like I acomplish things there my life is in control. When I get asked if I am ret*d in an interview or get fired within a few days even though I try really hard I feel terrible.

I had a friend who was a third semester senior in high school because he had to retake freshman English. He had a couple years to do it and he cared so little he never did. You would think a third semester the next fall after your class graduates would be the most embarrassing thing. Well it was not for him this guy was a huge slacker but we had so much in common and I cared about him. But after all this he goes to auto mechanic school and now makes a great living. I was an honor roll student in high school and only had trouble with math. I always think about him when I fail because I feel like I should be able to make my life work like that. I looked at him in school and always thought I was preparing for life more than he was.

I think so most of the time. Sometimes anxiety and or depression I can't control get the better of me.

I am very happy because of the comfort of life (no serious physical health impairment, no war in my coutry).

I consider myself to be a happy person. I've made some necessary changes in my life. I'm also not ranting and raving about gender issues on WP and in real life like I did between 2011 and 2015.

I'm neither happy nor unhappy I'm just a person who currently exists, until such time as I cease to exist. The terms happy, unhappy, sad etc have no real meaning for me.

Most of the time I am happy. I have had the thoughts of "God could you please hurry up my purpose so I may go to Heaven". I felt that way through a wide span of my life. I'm 30 and just found out that I have Aspergers. Like found out yesterday. I try to stay in today and not the future.

Definitely I consider myself a happy person! I have God and His blessings...even though my challenges are substantial.

So our challenges are great. Do you go to any counseling?

I'm always more or less depressed, and any happiness feels shallow in the light of it. My depression isn't caused by dissatisfaction, which is to say I'm not where I want to be yet, but I'll still be unhappy when I get there. It's OK though, I don't know any other way to be.

Not content or happy with my life. My health is terrible and I am chronically ill with severely debilitating bowel condition and stuck living in the same house as my far right wing christian fundamentalist abusive father. Much of the last 12 years of my life have been spent in sickness. I never got to do pretty much anything I had planned for my life.

I'm neither happy nor content. I was diagnosed with depression a few years ago, but I suspect that I've had it for much longer.
