I did a search and the last thread on hand driers was five years ago.

I have a problem with loud hand driers. Not just me using them, but anyone else too. They have become more common recently and I wonder if there will be claims for hearing loss from lavatory attendants.

I have to put my fingers in my ears. This makes using the toilet difficult. Luckily I'm deaf in one ear and can take my finger out of that one if I need to.

What are "lavatory attendants"? The people who clean and stock restrooms? Janitors? I doubt they will be exposed often enough to get hearing problems, since they generally don't work until there is no one in the bathroom. I don't know about where you are, but the hand driers I've used haven't been loud enough to cause hearing problems.

Could you keep an earplug available for the sensitive ear when you go into the lavatory?

I have more of a problem with the taps. The water comes out too hot for me, it hurts.
