I used to be extremely picky and would eat basically nothing but chicken, potatoes, and PB&J. But in my early teens or so, I started ordering things like escargot for shock value and just ignoring the "weird" textures. It helped me move past the pickiness, and my palette broadened a ton as I found I actually liked the way many of these foods tasted. Up to and including escargot. I also developed a borderline-addiction to tomato sauce and pasta, no idea how that started since I used to hate the texture of it when I was little.
All that really remains is: I still hate the texture and taste of leafy green vegetables, and will put them to the side if they're on a burger or anything. If they're only in small amounts in a burrito or something, I might try to ignore the texture. I also really can't stand green beans, pickles, or plum sauce. Actually most of my issues are veggie-related, though I like onions, peas, carrots, and milder peppers.

Don't believe the gender tag. I was born intersex and identify as queer, girl-leaning. So while I can sometimes present as an effeminate guy, that's less than half the time and if anything I'd prefer it say "female" of the two choices offered. I can't change it though, it's bugged.
