With the exception of a few members, I have a hard time keeping track of who is who here. Sometimes I'll look at the start date and number of posts of someone and think "wow they have been here a while and posted a lot, whoever they are". Kinda makes me feel a little guilty. I wonder if this is the same thing as my having face blindness (whatever that's called). Also I have a bad memory for certain things.

Yeah, that does happen to me sometimes especially when someone changes their avatar image. I can see how face blindness would make that worse though, because a lot of people use images of faces as their avatar.

I generally have good memory for who is who, my memory seems to have always been very attuned to detail though, from infancy onwards.

being a hermit is all I can do because I can't tell people apart anymore.

You I remember/know because you always have had the same recognizable Santa avatar, and because you make short easy to read posts that say a lot.

There are times when I've had trouble.

I have much less trouble with people I've conversed with previously, though.

You, Ezra, have always been recognizable to me, ever since just after I came to WP.

I don't bother trying. I simply reply to posts that appear on my screen not people.

I actually remember you from Max's forum, which I've neglected. Don't remember my password or what email I used. Your sig gave it away ;)

I stopped posting there because I was essentially talking to myself. There just wasn't enough input from anyone else to keep me interested, which is a pity because it's a forum format that has real potential. That's why I included a link to it in my signature, hopefully one day there'll be a little more activity there and then maybe I'll be tempted to rejoin.

Sometimes, I remember people very vaguely, but can't remember why or how.

When I think of it, there may be several here who prefer to fly under the radar anyways.

You're easy for me to remember because I was about your age when I first started forums. Which seems like a hundred years ago. Actually it's probably not the years but the mileage. Some said I was well spoken and mature for my age and I'll say the same of you.

I'm pretty new here, and am definitely going to struggle with this. Already finding the website kind of clunky and difficult to navigate. At least there ARE profile pictures - that's the reason I stopped interacting with the ASD-related subreddits and came here, because I can't keep track of usernames. Seems like every social setting I try to interact with either has too many members, or too few.

Mostly I don't have problems with that, except that there are two members here who have not just similar avatar pictures but names that seem similar to my brain, and I constantly mix those two up.
