Do you get this too? I often find that I'm just standing still or walking and then for no reason at all I lose my balance and tip to the side and do an 'air trip'. I'm not sure if it's just because I'm taller than what I'm supposed to be, but I just wanted to know if any of you guys get this as well.

I fall over randomly and think it is due to not coordinating my feet properly when wearing shoes, but you have to wear them in public don`t you...

Not randomly like that but I cant walk straight and my speech is slurred for at least two hours after waking up.

Sometimes people think I'm drunk.

I think I'd lose my balance alot if I were mounted on a spring too though zebedee...

I find I lose mine alot when on irregular surfaces, also when standing still, it gets very tiring, and whilst keeping legs awake, I think I can lose it there.

Yes, constantly. It's due at least in part to my flat feet. Orthotic insoles help but it still happens.

That happens to me a lot - I have to wear shoes with extremely flexible soles, or even better, no shoes at all, to prevent losing my balance. Too bad I can't wear high heels...

yes, yesterday I was shopping for dinner and went crashing into the sign in front of the baked chicken display. Just lost balance and had to catch myself before I went into the heated racks that held the rotisserie chickens. I recovered and had to right the sign, and the old lady behind me went 'tsk, tsk, tsk' .

spose she thought I was drunk or high. I was more worried that I had just lost balance by misjudging were my feet were when I was turning my torso.

I think you have just identified the possible problem there merle, I'm fairly sure it is documented that some autists have trouble with the location of limbs, and knowing where they are. If you think a limb is somewhere else, youi will compensate by balancing that way, which in actual fact unbalances you.

I have a tendency to be clumsy. I don't fall down, but I do trip over my feet. I also tend to bruise easily. Most of the time, I don't know how I got the bruises.

Yes, me too! My husband always says that someone only has to fart near me and I get a bruise!

I trip over my own feet a lot.
I lose balance sometimes as well, but not regularly.
