I read it and HATED it. It gave me the impression that the author only believes autistic people can lead meaningful lives if they are "cured".
This is my first time hearing about this book, and the summary on Amazon sounds good. It says the main character enjoyed life before the cure, had friends, a job, etc. Is there something offensive in the book?
Maybe it's just personal bias, but I found the idea that he is able to get the job he always wanted (futuristic space person?) only AFTER he has the "cure". Also didn't like how much of a pushover he was and he let his "therapist" walk all over him.
