Well, I think most people who work at grocery stores would appreciate that! Self-checkouts are basically there for the benefit of pencil pushers who don't want to hire more employees. They are not really there for convenience.

We really don't mind; I wouldn't worry about asking for help. It's generally more annoying when I ask someone if they need help finding something and they say no, only to come back 45 seconds later and ask where something is. I'd rather just have customers let me help them, it takes all of five seconds to tell someone where the ketchup is.
