Are your attempts at being considerate ignored?

After reading the empathy thread, I wondered about the problems AS people have with being considerate. I actually think I am very considerate and I work hard to think of others. But they seldom notice and often tell me I am inconsiderate. My guess is that going with the "wired differently" hypothesis, others are as blind to my attempts at kindness and consideration as I am to theirs.

Any thoughts?

I have this issue but I think part of the problem is I don't understand social communications. I say thank you and sorry but my lack of skills means I end of saying it too much and at the wrong times.

People don't notice when you go out of your way to do something considerate. They don't realize that you don't want trouble and work your ass off to be considerate of them all goddamn day. But they sure as f**k notice when slip up and miss something.

f**k!
