Just wondering if it's linked to aspergers?

It was once believed to be related to autism, even to the point of calling autistic kids "angels" and "indigos (or "star children"). Just as quickly as the fad showed up, it disappeared. I believe that autists often do look younger than their years. I was ID'd until I was 35 years of age. By 40 years of age, my hair turned white and I was no longer mistaken for a kid.

I looked young for my age, but I don't know if it had anything to do with Asperger's.

Bonus was that I still looked young until I was about 43.

All this, despite the fact that I started going grey at 20.

There's no such thing as looking autistic as far as someone's face goes.
But an autistic person can appear autistic in their behavior and mannerisms.

I am not formally-diagnosed but somewhat resemble a person with acromegaly, after puberty. I am very physically active, overall, and like to eat. Perhaps, it's possible to cope with a mild, hormonal imbalance.

When I was an infant, people thought I was too old to be in a stroller.

In grammar school, my pictures looked like exactly like my dad as a young adult.

At 12, people thought I was an adult, so wanted me to buy the alcohol.

I feel that severely-autistic people either have large, deep eyes, or appear somewhat walled-off.

Informally speaking, I don't think it shows in your expression.

I've always been pegged as much younger than I am, altho my social mannerisms might not have been of any help to me

Well, I don't know what your height is, but what works for some is you could simply start lifting weights. You will look more age appropriate and not childlike with the added muscle.

can't be bothered to cite any sources, but to my knowledge, many people on the spectrum tend to look younger than they are. I'm almost 20 and I look like I'm 17, so I feel you on this. I know people say looking younger than you are will be handy for when you grow old, but I don't really believe them; at this rate I'll forever be carded for alcohol, and never be talked to like a kid... sucks doesn't it? I'm strongly considering getting an extended goatee beard transplant soon, maybe that'll add a few years to my face.

Not sure, I look MUCH younger than I am though. I'm 21 and I look 14 or 15. Even with makeup, I can't get myself to look any older than 19. Most eye makeup bugs my eyes anyway so I stick to foundation and blush when I do wear it (which I'd say makes me look about 18).

I'm average height so it can't be my height. I think it's probably because I have a baby face rather than a young looking body.

I get talked to like a little kid a lot, by random strangers too like cashiers. I once had a lady look over my credit card (yes, some aspies do have them) for about 10 seconds and kind of hummed and hawed over it before saying "Okay then, can I see your ID?" in a "I don't believe this is yours" tone of voice. It's very rare that someone acts for an ID for credit cards here since 95% of credit cards are protected by a PIN here.

I always get carded for alcohol and I've even been kicked out of a wine bar. Once, a waitress told me I couldn't have a drink because it was alcoholic. I now just put my ID on the table if I plan to order a drink.

I can't grow a beard so that won't help.

The absence of facial expressions prevents wrinkles and edges from forming giving you a younger appearance. This is not unseen like in other conditions like I would assume is with some schizophrenics.

I was 2 months premature, so that affects me.
