testosterone related cognitive impairment
Just out of interest
are there any aspo's out there who also have testosterone deficiency or who have taken testosterone ever and noticed a significant boost in their cognitive performance.
I have testosterone deficiency and dyslexia however after i started to receive regular treatment for testosterone deficiency i noticed a significant cognitive boost and i my ability to verbalise and write my thoughts was significantly boosted or enhanced.
I speculate that the reason why this is may be simply due to testosterone related problem but i also speculate that it is possible that this problem may be common among those with ASC. I don't know. I am not sure as to whether anyone through history has ever considered this or done trials.
I just logged on to wrong planet to search to see if there was a conversation such as this and found this on the homepage under active discussions. Nice to know there is someone thinking the same thing as me at the same time
I have low testosterone and started TRT about six weeks ago. I haven't yet noticed any improvement in cognitive function. How long did it take for you to notice an improvement?
I start uni again in February and am starting to worry because I already dropped out of uni once before because I couldn't concentrate. So I'm starting to wonder if I should speak to someone about Adult ADHD or if I should wait longer to see if the TRT improves things.
There are studies being done at the moment I think in regards to a link between testosterone levels and autism spectrum disorders, however only related to testosterone levels in the womb during pregnancy. But who knows, maybe if it's true it has a longer lasting effect than we know about.
