Hi, not sure if I asked about this before.
I've found that frequently I drift into my own little world of staring. People generally snap me back and ask if I'm OK, which I am perfectly fine. It always happens, even at home or in social situations. I don't always think of things, I just "glare". It's not a day dream, it's weird. I supose it kind of helps me, too. It sometimes happens when I'm talking to people, and I completely missed what they said which appears really rude, but it was unintentional.

This happens to me a lot. I get in trouble from my family for 'glaring' and being 'rude' or 'mean'. I've tried to explain, but they are not sympathetic, and accuse me of lying or making it up.

When it happens to you, are you still able to process visual input, or is it like you have your eyes shut, and aren't seeing anything?

Too often, people say things they don't mean, and mean things they don't say.

Not just me then! Um, well... not all of the time, sometimes I do (like if it's a bang with some movement) else, not really, but not fully gone if you know what I mean.

When I do it, or it happens to me, I have my eyes open (and apparently glaring) but am not seeing anything. I can be 'awoken' by movement in my field of vision, but generally am not recognising the shapes I see as objects or people.

This is something I struggle with on a daily basis at work and it often leads people to ask me if I'm "angry" or "upset."
