The purpose of a girlfriend is to do all of these things for you. (Metal helmet firmly on)

Men can't wrap presents; that's normal. My brother (instead of asking us females) paid strict attention to the salesclerk that he paid to wrap and learned that way. (Same as wrapping a sandwich.)

But the bow! Oh, he was on a roll! He bought ribbon and tried and tried - this is the most persistent guy in the world. Finally he paid to have a salesclerk do the wrapping again and paid strict attention - as the salesclerk slapped on a ready-made beautiful bow.

All the things you can't do sound okay to me. Smile if you can (oh, the tremendous power of a smile!). And do eye contact when/if you can. And there's something - I think it's called pro-active listening. Really listen so you can understand what it's like to be her, and repeat bits of it as she talks so she'll know. Nobody listens to us women - you'll be attractive.

i suck at xmas present wrapping too.
always seemed like a fine art and i'm dazzled when i see perfectly wrapped presents.
washing machines are really simple to operate though. just throw your clothes in with some washing powder and you're good to go (putting the setting to cold or hot depending on how thorough a job you need done).
