Okay people, I am asking for you to send good Mo or social Karma my way.

We have two couples coming to stay with us this weekend. This is extremely stressful for me, but we must reciprocate, b/c we have stayed at their homes numerous times while travelling.

I cleaned the entire house, and made sure I have enough bedding.

I am stimming horribly today, b/c I know when those people arrive, I won't be able to. All this while trying to take care of a busy 9 month old. I have been shutting down the last couple days (as in staring off into space and sleeping everytime my daughter naps), b/c I get overwhelmed.

I do enjoy these friends of ours. They are definitely fun for some s**ts and giggles, but I just get wiped out.

I think as long as I ply them with alcohol, things will go fine?

I hope everyone has a great weekend.

Tallgirl.

I hope it goes well.

Might you consider renting some videos and having them avalable? Watching them is still *together* time but it can be low keyed.

Good luck!

Good luck! I hope you get to enjoy yourself.

If you need some time alone, maybe you can take the baby for a walk.

The alchohol will definitely work!

The baby will give you a good excuse to leave the room for a break, you know, and people understand when you have a little baby, everything is difficult.

Have a good time too, Tallgirl!

It went really well! It helped that they are really fun people and are game for anything. We pub crawled all day Saturday and we all didn't go to bed til 2 in the morning, which is quite a thing for my husband and I considering we have a baby.

I haven't laughed so much in a long time, probably since before the baby was born.

We are exhausted, but it was well worth it. I just popped half of a Xanax to get me back on track and I think I will make it!

Thanks for all your support...

Tallgirl.

It's good to hear that it well. Most of the time it is the actual anticipation that makes something worse. This is what my parents always tell me: One step at a time.

Ah... Successful socializing. It's a rewarding feeling to actually pull it off. (For myself, despite how successful it has been, I always hate how much it zaps my energy-- for even a couples days or so.)
