Actually i think i shoukd perhaps try to learn more about physics and such i just wish it wasnt such a difficult subject because i really think things like that are related to physics in some way, as in when your feelings of perception and such changes its related to the energy which holds atoms together. Thats on a super basic level. I'm studying science atm and we must use the scientific method when we have ideas about things and we must try to disprove ideas with experiments. Tbh I really suck and have to learn more and understand more.
A few years back I watched a TTC (The Teaching Company) lecture series called "Einstein's Relativity and the Quantum Revolution with lecturer Richard Wolfson PhD (
Here's a link to the course on TTC's site--but it's out there for free too if you know how to find those things, not that I'm condoning illegal downloading or anything like that
) that I found really interesting and informative, and I liked that the prof is genuinely excited about the material and that makes a big difference for me; I just find I learn more effectively from teachers who have a real love and enthusiasm for what they teach. It's for non-scientists so features as little math as possible, it's basically just the theory and a description of the ideas that led to Einstein discovering relativity and the impact it has had on what we know about the universe, and then some basics of quantum mechanics and their impact. I've always loved the sciences but mostly studied biology and chemistry when I was in school and wanted to explore physics as much as is possible with me not being much of a mathematician. I found that series to be a great window into the basics, and an interesting study on how theories in the physical sciences are developed.
