What goals do you have for 2017, in terms of progress you hope to make with your autism issues?

I hope to:
- Be a better conversationalist with my family
- Learn to interact better online, and avoid interpersonal conflicts
- Re-examine whether I'm capable of 'connecting' with others, or if it's best not to try
- Leave the house 5-10 times, to take the bus to medical & dental appointments
- Trust that medical professionals know what they're doing, and will treat me fairly and competently

I'd be interested in hearing other people's goals!

Survive

If you do that there is always a chance however slight of improvement and good luck happening to you

I don't really do New Year's Resolutions, but I do have various things I'm working on at the moment (in no particualr order)...

(1) Build up my physical strength so I can manage my job and home without frequent illness.
(2) Keep my job.
(3) Work on making art which is fine art with a modern science fiction / fantasy or natural twist and maybe exhibit it somewhere locally.
(4) Help my son as he transitions from school the college.
(5) Allow love to lead me more and more.
(6) Stop using my tablet or phone after 10:15 at night.
(7) Get my kitchen repaired and the plumbing fixed.
(8) Develop a new cleaning routine for my home which I can physically manage.

1. Continue the social activities I began over the course of the last two years: Toastmasters, folk dance, tennis and church
2. Be watchful and observant, but not paranoid
3. Pay more attention to social cues and avoid embarrassing social gaffes
4. Be watchful on the road. People drive crazy here.
5. Take more opportunities to do things independently that I am still not good at, like cooking
6. Get better at small talk

Build/finish something that generates a constant trickle income so I don't have to work, then just work on personal projects.

Complete my apprenticeship with the NHS (11 months to go).

Make a friend.

Try to stay under 150lbs.

Make an effort to show more interest (authentically) in other people.

Be kinder to those whom have never given up on me.

For me it's:
- To continue to study and practice mindfulness, to help my anxiety and stress levels
- To practice singing and drawing so that I can improve more :)

Hope everyone can keep at and fulfil their chosen resolutions! It's usually easier said than done. I suppose my third new year's resolution is to definitely achieve the other two and not end up forgetting about em like last year, lol

The obvious resolution I should have is to quit smoking. Another good one would be for me to find some small niche in society as a volunteer while I study. I understand the system well enough to know graduation without good work experience leads to unemployment unless you strike gold, job-wise. I am sick of being stuck inside most days screen-reading my uni materials, and I need more daylight too, damnit. :D

Be more diligent about cleaning upstairs
Basically discipline myself to do every small daily task required to take care of the house-I am doing pretty well with outside obligations, but I sometimes lack the energy to clean upstairs. The upstairs is used by me for three purposes: computer work, relaxation (reading or watching television) and sleep.
Doing anything and everything to work up to independence.
