I'm 29 turning 30 this year. Do you think I should spend my 30s doing things that I always wanted to do, focus on things that interest me? I've spent my 20s trying to figure out what I want to do with my life. Now that I'm going to be in a new decade of age.

I always wanted to write so you think I should focus on doing that? I am on disability and technically I could live off that and if I get bored, I could always get a part time job and make some extra cash. Is your 30s a good "excuse" to do the things you always wanted to do. Now that I know what I want to, focusing on that would make me motivate me not only to get better at it, but it help me get published and noticed for my work.

I don't want to work in retail and be around people and the only way to get ahead in your life is it do something you always wanted to do and since I'm working right now. I have the time to write.

Is that a good idea? Should I focus on my interests? Writing is my dream job.
