Tonight I went to hear a neighbor's band at a small downtown bar so I put earplugs in and my earmuffs over that. The earmuffs were purchased with fireworks in mind, not sitting at a table for an hour listening to music. They got sweaty, squished my head and ears, and kinda itched. But they worked and I got through an entire hour and a black bean sandwich. Anyone know of anything out there that is cute, more comfy, maybe lined with something other than vinyl? I have a small head, but my ears stick out and that may be part of the discomfort.
Oh, by the way, the earplugs I wear are great.

I have found ones that look like this work well.
They block sound very well and come in 25 to 27 db sound lowering.

Are you talking ear defenders or earmuffs.
Ear defenders are sold as a noisy equipment accessory (i.e. with your chainsaw) and are vinyl lined and have hard plastic shells over the ears.
Up here in Canada, fluffy and furry earmuffs are sold to keep your ears warm outside in the winters. They are particularly popular with girls / young women here as a winter outdoor fashion accessory. Some guys wear them too (typical black in colour for guys as opposed to the colourful ones girls wear).
