I get my clothes at a thrift store, which lessens my choice on what clothes I can find. But the clothes I used to be able to wear now itch and bother me.

Is this an age thing? Getting worse as I get older? I also have fibromyalgia. I got that about 5 years ago but don't know if that is related. I have epilepsy too and have had that for even longer than fibro. I think I have had Asperger's Syndrome the longest, it just wasn't diagnosed until I was an adult.

But the main point of my question is, Is there a way to make myself less sensitive to clothes?

I guess you could make sure it's not something other than a sensory issue? Have you recently changed your laundry detergent or started using a new skin product? Perhaps switch to sensitive skin products and use a mild moisturiser after you wash as dry skin can cause itching.

If it's definitely sensory then use a process of elimination to work out what materials in particular are bothering you or if it's seams then try for seam free clothing. Looser fitting items might also be better. Unfortunately I don't think there's much else you can do.
