Getting a attorney when...

I want to speak to an attorney and thinking of getting a free "consultation". I'm little nervous about going though the process. I was hoping for some tips. Thanks.

How come you want to get an attorney?

I understand you might want to keep the reason private--but, if we knew the reason, we could probably help you better.

Be very organized and bring copies of everything possible. Go over everything you want to before so when you sit down with the attorney you’re prepared. Their time is very valuable and by being prepared. You show you’re serious and respectful of their time… Being organized makes it easier for them, if they take the case.

Talk to a few to compare what they say and what they charge. If it sounds like you are in trouble some of them will take advantage and lie about what could happen.

I've had one a few times because I was accused of a DUI. I was dead sober but cops swore my autism meant something. One of them was a moron. He could not grasp that I had any control of my life and he made me look bad in court because he called me a "ward of the state" in the court room. It made my case unbelievable because the other attorney said how can he drive if he is this incapable of caring for himself and the judge agreed.

I wish I had shopped around before going with him.

There are online open forums where you can ask a question that attorneys will answer on a voluntary basis.

A «Ward of the Court» is an Imbecile (according to the Language of Legalese).
P.S.: When you're a Client to an Attorney or Lawyer you are considered a Ward of the State.
Stop giving them Jurisdiction. They use all kinds of tricks to trick you into giving them Jurisdiction.
Merely saying the wrong thing makes them presume Jurisdiction over you. Learn some Legalese.

Learn LOTS of Legalese for that matter. ANY time you say that you «Agree» to ANYTHING they ask you, that is Jurisdiction that you have just granted, because when they «Ask» you ANYTHING, they are making an Offer-of-Contract. What you need to do is make a «Conditional-Offer» (which is a counter-offer) of Acceptance, that you will be glad to accept whatever they have to offer you upon Proof-of-Claim, and they will play stupid and act like they don't know what you mean, but it puts YOU in control to offer your OWN conditions;

I typically ask them to provide proof-of-jurisdiction in addition to everybody's Oath-of-Office on and for the Official Public Record. Any Evidence they try to provide is Hearsay and you must Object to the Evidence as being Hearsay (because Hearsay Evidence is actually Inadmissible). If something like a Driver's License is submitted and your objection over-ruled, you Declare that said Driver's License is now Surrendered to the Court and you Waive all Benefits and Privileges of said License (benefits and privileges include the benefit or privilege of being jailed).

You need to do your OWN learning and your OWN research. Stop relying on those Lawyers (Liars).
Just be prepared to spend the next entire decade or two putting your nose into learning Law.
