Back in 4th grade I used to write about my cat and have animals in it talk like they do in Homeward Bound. But in it I had my cat be an outcast in the neighborhood and the other neighbors pets were mean to her. My mom would read them and get mad at me about it and I couldn't even make them private because she would read my stuff so I quit writing. One of the cons of being a kid when you're a kid, you have no right to privacy because your parents will snoop and read everything they find written by you. I hated it.

But anyway looking back I realize this was a sign for my social issues and my problems and how mean kids are to me and my mom didn't bat an eye about it from the stories. Instead she got mad at me for writing such garbage and twisted trash. This could have also been a sign of depression or a sign of your kid is a victim of bullying and abuse but my mom didn't notice from the stories and it could have also been a sign that your kid has something because why would other kids be picking on your child? What could your kid be doing that would make other kids feel justified in picking on your child? Under your eyes, your kid is perfect but other people may view your kid differently and see things in your kid you don't see.

But looking back and thinking about all this makes me a little upset but I won't ask my mom how could she have not known and put these pieces together from my stories because she always gets defensive and now puts the blame on me (gaslighting) whenever I ask her things about my childhood. She might say I never told her and I might have said back "Uh I did and you told me it was all normal and they were all innocent and told me to just ignore them and tell me things like how they are just jealous and how they do that to everyone bla bla bla."
