Could I be An Aspie?Pls Help
I was Diagnosed last year with Major depressive disorder with psychotic features Axis II Borderline personality, passive agressive features
I had selective mutism at 9. The following years I just had a gradual improvement in terms of communication and interaction.
At 21, my present age, I still have minimal interaction with peers as well as other people. I speak in a soft volumed monotone which irritates a lot of people. I love music. When I was 9, I had an obsession with violin.
At 19 I got obsessed with Spirit Science and Quantum Physics and Owl City.
I struggle with short conversations but I love to have deep conversations.
I have lack of commonsense as what most tell me, I am clumsy, I can't easily read between the lines what someone is talking about so I appear like a deaf or a fool, I am an empath. I have social anxiety. I am a crybaby.
I can mostly relate with Owl City's songs and the way it is delivered. I am so poor in terms of verbal instructions that one time I didn't answer 1/4 of the test items in a college entrance exam because I thought the proctor said 2hrs per two subjects, never thought she meant, 2hrs for the whole. But fortunately I passed. I also often score almost perfect in english proficiency, and vocabularies. Though I rarely read novels or books requiring steadfast focus. But when I was a kid, I read random health and science related books and mags. When I was 7 however, I draw and make a sentence out of a word from a dictionary. I have deep passion for words.
I am poor at organizing. However, when I was about 3 I used to arrange my toys and our stuffs the way I wanted them to be. I also arrange and clean our whole bedroom and living room without anyone's command. My parents aren't even OC. And we have our nanny to do the cleaning.
Sigh. There's so much more I can tell, but I'm tired of typing already. Please, could anyone help me.
First of all remember, "you can't please everyone, so you got to please yourself". Sorry, couldn't resist.
Anyways, obviously you feel like you operate differently from the norm, so it doesn't seem too far fetched to say you're wired differently. Might be autism, might be something else, might be a combination of two things. I have autism and dyspraxia and ADHD and the symptoms of all those overlap each other in certain areas. So there's no way of anyone here being able to say yes or no (or at least they shouldn't). It's really something you need to talk to a doctor or counselor about to start off with in my opinion.
If you are posting this because of what I said in your last thread , I wasn't trying to imply that you were not an Aspie , just don't pin all your hopes on it being the answer to all your questions.

I can relate to a lot of this. I was also diagnosed with major depression, then in 2015 with Borderline Personality Disorder. And, of course, Asperger's in 2010. I was pretty shy and quiet during my elementary school years, too, and also struggled with communication and interaction with my peers. I absolutely HATE small talk. I can't stand it! Either have a good, deep conversation with me or leave me alone. I can also relate to the lack or common sense, clumsiness and social anxiety. I'm not that good at organizing either. When you mentioned Owl City, it reminded me of this guy I got involved with when I lived in California back in 2008 and 2009. I don't remember the name of the song, but it was one of their #1 hits and this guy and I used to call it "our song". But now whenever I hear that song, I cringe because it reminds me of him and how he treated me. It was pretty bad. He introduced me to crack cocaine, stole money from me, lied to me, manipulated me, used me and took advantage of me in a big way. He also verbally and emotionally abused me. So there you go. He even played that same song on my voice mail at one point after I moved to Chicago. He just wouldn't give up until I had to change my phone number. Ok, enough about that a@#hole. I'm really into playing word games and, speaking of reading novels, I read Michael Crichton's "Jurassic Park" 6 times. I'm still a huge fan of Jurassic Park. It's my favorite movie. Well, I sure do see signs from you of being an Aspie. So I would say yes, you're an Aspie. Join the club! I hope this helped.
Have you tried taking online self-tests? Here are the two that I recommend:
http://www.aspietests.org/raads/
http://www.rdos.net/eng/Aspie-quiz.php
I recommend taking both, if you have time. I am neurotypical and have my own scores saved if you need someone to compare to. I think the Aspie Quiz is pretty easy to understand, but some people have trouble with the RAADS-R. If you need any parts of that explained, let me know and I can probably help.
No. It's not in anyway because of your post. I have previous threads about my self suspicion. Currently experiencing the thoughts about it, well even since then. Because of all those questions left unanswered and also been comparing myself with my classmates professionally diagnosed with Borderline(though individual differences) there I can't really find any of 5 of them with social deficits among the s and sx.

The Garden Party by Owl City. Ohh I love that song. Thank you.
Um. Okay, Might you give me what are the ordeal of getting that diagnoses?
Honestly, I really meant not to open up my idea of that I might have Aspergers to my psychiatrist. Because, after last checkup he told me, he doesn't care about giving labels more than how he will manage his patients.

Thanks. I've tried taking Aspie quiz can't remember what link I've taken it though, but my score falls on the Aspie's. I'll answer what you gave me and I'll show you my results.

Not really because I got diagnosed when I was 2 years old. But I have done several follow up tests to see where I'm at for school and therapy, which is pretty much like taking exams in school to me.
As long as you are telling your psychiatrist all the stuff you deal with then you should be in good hands.

You can either copy and paste the results or if it's an image you can:-
If your on a phone or tablet , take a screen grab and post the image.
If your on a Windows PC use the snipping tool to screen grab and post the image.
To post an image you first need to upload the image to a picture host site.
