Dealing With Vague Nonverbal People

Sorry about such a long title. I have a bit of a problem but I highly doubt it's just me. Do any of you have difficulties with specific friends, acquaintances, bosses, teachers, employers, etc. who are incredibly nonverbal, almost to a fault all on their own. They practically communicate through their damn faces. They rarely talk, and when questioned they give annoyingly vague answers or they change the subject. They seem to be constantly wanting to irritate me. In fact, I think that's the only thing they really ant out of me, to be difficult for the sake of being difficult. Now that makes no sense to me, but neither are any of their odd and mysterious behaviors. They're incredibly defensive as well, and always mumble quietly. I just don't understand, I'm confused and extremely annoyed. Any help? Advice? Thanks.

Offer your device if you trust the person, pen and paper is good also.

Do not assume non verbal means also means deaf or intellectully disabled.

The non verbal person is often going to need a lot more time to respond. Often when I was completly non verbal while I was responding to one topic the conversation had moved several topics ahead

Meh, I don't know those people. I usually make it within my best efforts to not too ...

I believe the term is tight-lipped. And is a passive aggressive way of showing dislike.

My dad works with a guy who doesn't like him and the guy acts just like that.

It would be funny if my dad gave that guy my device or paper and pen, just to make fun of his bad attitude.
