Hello, all. I am a 38 year-old female with Asperger's and severe anxiety. Something that came to my mind today: I am a Netflixer, and I love reality cooking/baking shows. Today, I saw one episode of a particular show, wherein two mentors assist two households in competing to make the best meal using just the stuff in their kitchens within one hour. Potentially fascinating concept, but it left me feeling extremely anxious and even angry, because they were hurried and rushed through the entire thing, with nothing to buffer it. They just kind of hit you over the head with hurry. Everything was rushed, including their speech. Coming to the point, it got me thinking about the fact that I am very sensitive to people's energy, to where it effects my mood and well being, and I am wondering if anyone else deals with this as well? I think sometimes I confuse the facets of my Asperger's with the facets of my anxiety. Thoughts?
