Hey there,

I suspect I Have Asperger's and am planning to get an appointment with a diagnostician. Can any of you relate to this feeling that you are incredibly intelligent and can somehow compute details of life that no one else thinks about, but when you observe your social behavior, you realize that you don't act as intelligent as you actually are? That there are nuances in the social behavior of other people that just makes them seem more "in touch" with other people?

I hope that makes sense.

Jake.

Yes I get what you mean. I know a lot of things. But when I try to explain what I understand and mean. It makes me look like I'm stupid and dumb. So yes if that's what you mean. Is that what you mean?

That's definitely part of it.

I can explain things pretty well on the phone but in person I can tell my body language is going awry, unless I try really hard and pretend I am acting like an intelligent character from a tv show I've watched. Relate, or no?

It's also more so just that when I observe HOW humans talk, and the sense of connectedness they have between one another, I cannot relate at all.
