I don´t know about you guys but I have problems to believe that I´m autistic sometimes.
This is because I have a underlying disease that making me tired and because of that, I don´t have the energy to go out and be social.
I miss out social cues due to my tiredness and being depressed is something you get when you always feeling tired all the time.
Because of this disease I can´t really believe the autism-diagnoses to 100%, maybe like 40% but not more.
I believe that if I did had the energy that a normal person would have, maybe I would be more able to talk free with people and they would understand me?
I would have a job, drivers licence, have social life with friends and all that normal stuff that I should have if I only had the energy for it that I don´t have.

I have asked the people that gave me this diagnosis if maybe it´s all just about my underlying disease and stuff that happend to me before in my life that´s making me act like a autistic person. But they say that my bloodtests shows normal (I´m medicated for about 15 years now) and I would act differently if I would have like posttraumatic stress syndrome for example and not be in the way I am today.

I can accept that I´m autistic IF I know for SURE that this is the case but how do I know this for sure? Is there any signs that shows what´s actually autism and what´s something wrong with my body?

Underlying disease wouldn't be something like neuropathy, fibro, or CFS/ME, would it?
It is possible to have autism and those.
Or at least it is possible for me.

Ah, okay.
And the next question is, why do I encounter so many women with thyroid trouble?
Something ain't right somewhere. And I wonder if the problem is in the environment and something specific to women in the environment.
"“If you were to look at a group of women, one in eight will actually have some sort of thyroid disease,” she notes.
According to the American Thyroid Association, women are five to eight times more likely than men to have trouble with their thyroid "

Well, why so many women get thyroid problems have many different answers. Some of us have it in our DNA, some get it from extreme stress, some get it from acute sickness (mostly infection), it could be a lot and I have read a lot about it.
But the interesting thing for me is not how I got it or why so many women has it, it´s if I´m really autistic or not.
I guess not all thyroid patients have the same introverted style as I´m having and the difficultites with the communication and so on... but you never know

The thyroid thing is currently relevant because I have a good friend where it was recently discovered that the surgeon who did her thyroid surgery a few years ago left staples inside her throat, yes, inside.
That explains a few things.

Sorry, eng is not my natural language so I don´t know what´s "stales" is. But I guess this friend of yours have hyperthyrodism, when it´s produce too much, mine is when it´s produce too low.

It is a mistyping of staples! (just now fixed it) Grave's Disease is what I think Paula said she had. I'll have to look it up again since don't remember the details.

Graves is a toxic disease on the thyroid, her thyroid produce way too much, we don´t have the same disease but they are both in the thyroid and ain´t funny. Hope she´s getting well soon.

Okey, stamples? That sounds weird and dangerous! 8O
