It wasn't a very good movie, but I liked the portrayal of the autistic boy in, The Darkness.

Never even heard of most of the movies on your list.

But one movie that should be added to your list is the earliest autism related major motion picture I ever saw (or even heard of) . This was the 1969 British movie "Run Wild, Run Free". It predated "Rain Man" by almost 20 years. Though it doesnt mention the word "autism" the central character is a ten year old boy growing up on the Yorkshire Moors who is clearly autistic . .

For TV dramas, The A Word.

Thanks for this list. I've been finding and watching a few, but had started to run out of ideas aside from the obvious.

I watched White Frog a few nights ago, and really enjoyed that.

Others on your list that I've seen so far are:

Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close
Life Animated
Miracle Run
Mozart and the Whale
Temple Grandin

I thought "Jane Wants a Boyfriend" was pretty good.

"Autism in love" is a great documentary. "Autistic me" is ok

In "whats eating Gilbert Grape" some people beleive Arnie is autistic

The Martian has a character (Rich Purnell) that according to the author of the book it's based on is autistic.

Gary Bell from the cancelled TV show Alphas has to be my favorite portrayal of an autistic individual in film, although the series itself is not about autism.

Thank you again people. I've added all these too my list and also purchased the Run Wild, Run Free book. I'll give it a week or so to compile afew more and i'll post up my [hopefully] almost comprehensive list. After this I'm going to focus on documentaries so forgive me if I start a new thread sharing a different list.

Thanks
