I really like to watch water flowing in a creek or irrigation ditch. As far as I can remember there is something appealing about it that I can't quite put my finger on but that could be completely normal. I was wondering if someone could describe what it is like to watch one of the things that fascinates you so I could have something to compare my experience with.

Water evaporating has always amazed me. Like when the sun shines after a down pour, watching all the vapor rise from the ground and rooftops. Also when sweat evaporates off my skin and it feels cold. I'd daydream about the physics behind the water evaporating, totally focused, like in a trance.

Another thing that fascinates me are big cities and the tall buildings. The busy highways with causeways and bridges with all the cars zipping along everywhere. I'd think about all the engineering, technology, and infrastucture needed to accomplish something so complex and huge. I'd daydream like if I was someone that lived 200 years ago suddenly getting put into a modern city, it would look like an advanced alien civilization.
It's really one of the few things that makes me proud of humanity.

I like things that have lights that flicker on them, or spinning lights. I can't look at them too long 'cuz it'll hurt my eyes, but when I am watching it's pretty intense.

I like to watch water flowing in a creek or rapids in a river too. I would love to have a house next to a river with a big deck on the back - I'd stay out there all day.

I like watching the heat waves rise off of blacktop in the summer. The shimmering mirage like effect it has is pretty entrancing. Unluckily I usually see it while I am driving. Luckily it is usually in brief segments.

I get facinated whenever I see a wealthy Punk Rocker walk by wearing all the studs, chains and the finest leather jacket. I become very facinated and I feel a bit of the Good Jealousy, hoping to win the 6/49 so I could look like him or her. 8)

I also get facinated when I see a Routemaster, whether she's a toy or the Real Deal.

I was out side once and it was just pouring rain, But the cool pat was it was dark and their were lights on and it was the most beutiful thing I have ever seen :o Jimbogf I know what you mean about cityscapes. I love them too :D I just think they are sooooooo fascinating 8) . I am from Canada and I went to Toronto which is one of our largest cities. But I just could not keep my eyes off of everything. It was like I was in heaven :) I was so blissful. Needless to say I think my family thought I was nuts  though I was so sad to say good bye to the city untill next time .

I am generally fascinated with any kind of water, except the dirty kind...

I also LOVE staring into the sun when it's about to set. The visible light is less so I can watch it with ease... however it might damage my eyes. :?

I went to Virginia Beach a LONG time ago, and we had a hotel that was on the beach. I'd sit for hours out on the balcony just watching the water. The waves are beautiful, but moreso for some reason, I like where the water reaches the sand and rushes back. It's not anything I see every day as I live nowhere near a beach, lol, but I do have screensavers of it and desktops as well.

We were only there for 3 days :( but my memories of it since I spent so much time on that balcony make it seem much longer.

The best was in the morning though-we'd get up just as the sun was rising and watch the dolphins-you could see them along the horizon-gorgeous... one day I want to live there, lol.

What about textured ceilings? Images kind of pop out at me when I look at them and sometimes with other textures.

I like seeing the lines running through the florescent lights and the light bouncing off the glass doors as work because I see the flicker on the walls and ground and I like seeing the flickering light in the photo frame.

I also love Spokane and like seeing the buildings they used in Benny and Joon. I love eating at Ferguson's.
