The Pioneer Woman Signature Nakiri knife is a great all around knife for an Aspie who wants to learn to cook. It is only $9 and really sharp. It has a wide blade with no point, so it is one of the better choices for cooks who have coordination issues. The blade is 1.8 x 6.2 inches.

I'm going to buy myself one. Those are a very good idea.

Hmm, the lack of a point makes it so that you can't really open packages with it.

Zibra Open-It ZPCOPEN-GZ 5-in-1 Package Opener
These were at deep discount at a big box hardware store, so I bought two of them years ago. They still work great for opening plastic clamshell packages.

Having a knife that is sharp and stays sharp will reduce your chance of injury. Knives that aren't sharp make it easier to hurt yourself.

I use Henkel knives. Their Nakiri is ~$200. I might just have to wait. Still, looks like a good knife to have.

Don't forget a knife sharpener. They get dull after a while

Why would anybody want to cook at Walmart?

LOL....I understood the phrase because of the context.

But somebody who has trouble discerning ambiguity might think that this knife is excellent for cooking IN WALMART.

Somebody might think that people actually have cookouts within the Walmart store (that would be cool!)

The ambiance, naturally.

You've just highlighted my sense of humour to a T.

I find this type of humour hysterical.

As this is an autism forum and I don't know you , I'd better add if that was an actual question I misunderstood it as humour.

Walmart is a great place to go if you are driving an RV and need someplace to park overnight. Last I heard about 75% of Walmarts allow overnight parking.

If you cut the tie wrap the package can be re-used as a cheap knife holder.

This knife is great for cutting chicken into thin slices for deep frying.
You don't need much oil if you fry small pieces in a little pan.
