Weight sensitivity?
I think under most circumstances I actually crave weight on me, usually in the form of multiple blankets and can never have as many on as I'd like without getting overheated, even in winter. Sometimes it seems like I can't tolerate weight on me at all though. Most specifically this occurs with my laptop. Sometimes the weight of it on my lap just really seems to hurt. I've tried using the laptop without the lapdesk since that does add to the weight, but it doesn't really help, and without the lapdesk the laptop can feel way too hot for me. Sometimes it doesn't hurt exactly, but it's more like I feel overwhelmed by the pressure on my lap and feel like I need to get it off me immediately.
This really sucks because the majority of my recreational activities are done on my laptop. I do have a smaller tablet, but I generally don't use it very often because many things are more difficult to do on a smaller screen, and it's an Android, and some things I just really need Windows for. I've tried to get help for this, but I've had a few different physical therapists tell me that they're not sure what's causing it and that they really can't help with this issue. So it finally just occurred to me that this could be yet another sensory issue that I have rather than something being physically wrong?
